GOAL ZERO EMPLOYEE HOLIDAY GIFT PICKS

GOAL ZERO EMPLOYEE HOLIDAY GIFT PICKS

We, here at Goal Zero, are a team of mountain bikers and climbers, world travelers and weekend warriors, moms and dads, commuters, coaches, and even part-time students. We rely on our products to power the things that matter most in our own lives and are proud to be able to stand behind all of our innovations. Of course, each of us has our favorites. Every year around this time, we call on a few members of our Goal Zero family to share which products they’ve come to use – and love – the most. Take a look and grab some inspiration to help power through your holiday shopping list this season.

AMORETTE FIGUEROA, SALES COORDINATOR | LIGHTHOUSE 400

“One of my all-time favorite Goal Zero products is the Lighthouse 400. I do a lot of camping in the summer and bring this light with me every time. It’s the perfect lantern to place on the picnic table as you’re busting out the s’mores, hang in your tent when you’re getting ready for bed, or grab when you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and need some light to guide your path and fight off bears. In addition to being really useful outdoors, the Lighthouse 400 comes in handy whenever we have a power outage at home. I love the hand crank on it because I know I’ll always have light even if I didn’t get a chance to charge it up from a solar panel or a USB outlet.”

STERLING ROBISON, ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR | YETI 1400 LITHIUM

“As an engineer, there’s a lot to like about the Yeti 1400 Lithium. Its advanced battery management system takes the worry out of packing around so much power in such a compact package. Its class leading inverter not only has minimal electrical noise and surprising efficiency, it also has a unique multi-stage surge capability that allows it to power all but the biggest equipment. As a dad, I love knowing that in the event of a disaster, my family’s power needs can be completely taken care of between my Yeti and Boulder solar panels. Pairing it with the Home Integration Kit makes it easy to move between catastrophe and camping mode. When we’re outside, our Yeti acts as a power hub for lights, music, and the mobile devices that inevitably follow us into the woods, and keeps everyone feeling safe and sound. Plus, the thing looks and feels amazing thanks to the aluminum housing and rugged plastic.”

MELANIE RENNER, RETAIL SOLUTIONS CENTER REPRESENTATIVE | LIGHTHOUSE MICRO FLASH

“The Lighthouse Micro Flash is a must-have for me. It’s the perfect little light to put in your pocket and the fact that you can use it as a flash light or a lantern is terrific. It’s one of those things that I always have in my pack when going for evening climbs to make hiking out in the dark easier. This is also hands down my favorite light to take camping because of its tiny, space-saving size and its dual functionality. I can hang it up in the tent as a lantern and use it as a flashlight when walking around at night.”

DANNY FINNERTY, ASSISTANT BUYER AND LOGISTICS ANALYST | VENTURE 70

“The Venture 70 is one of my primary portable power sources. It easily tucks away into the pockets of my rooftop tent and carries enough power to run and charge different lights and devices. I can hang my Light-A-Life mini lights on different points of the tent and the USB cable end of the lights plugs right into my Venture 70. The added lights make the tent feel like home. When it’s time to turn off the lights, the phones/tablets/devices get plugged into my Venture 70 and powered up for another day of fun. Because it’s compact, waterproof, and carries plenty of juice, it always finds a home in my center console, backpack, or suitcase as well.”

BROGEN REED, RETAIL SOLUTIONS CENTER REPRESENTATIVE | NOMAD 7 PLUS

“The portability of the Nomad 7 Plus is key for me as I am often using it when on the move. The smart charging feature is awesome as it gives me the ability to plug my iPhone directly into the panel if I need a small boost during the day. I’m also able to see exactly how much power the panel is gathering with its Solar Intensity indicator. This lets me position the panel at the best angle and monitor the panel’s power output. I relied on the Nomad 7 Plus on a daily basis while camping in New Zealand for 2 months, but it’s also been extremely useful on my weekend camping trips or around the house. Knowing I can harness the power of the sun to keep my smaller USB devices charged is awesome and gives me reassurance in case I get myself in a pinch. I often pair it with the Venture 30, which makes for an extremely solid setup.”
