Comments about Escape 150 Replacement Battery:
Battery worked great for the first charge, then it didn't keep a charge very long. It would power my MacBook for like 4 minutes then die. It proved unreliable in cold weather with a super short lifespan. Now unit just shows that is continually charges and never tops off and stops scrolling on my Escape 150.

Comments about Escape 150 Replacement Battery:
I purchased this as a replacement battery, which was basically worse than the battery it was to replace.Charge only lasts, 3-4 days, then battery is discharged ( non-use ). I guess being made in china was a huge factor, junk!Love your ideas, but not the cheap manufacturing, make it right and you guys would have an awesome product, people will spend more for quality. P.s i own almost all of the goal zero products, except for the yetti, seeing the hit and miss of the quality, i would be hesitant to buy it, will be looking for something made in the u.s.

Comments about Escape 150 Replacement Battery:
We bought the Goal Zero Escape package so we would have power during blackouts. It is a well-made, easy to use system. But one caveat: the battery pack must be recharged often enough (every three months?) to ensure that the unit does not discharge to the point that it cannot be recharged. Otherwise, highest marks. And when I ordered a repacement battery, it was shipped quickly and was very easy to install.
Service and delivery comments:
Prompt, excellent Service

Q:
We bought the Escape 150 over a year ago and have been happy with it until this past weekend when it stopped charging and the green light on the unit doesn't come on when we turn the unit on. We've kept it plugged in and use it to keep our cell phones charged. Now the unit is not charged and the green power light doesn't come on.1 answer

We bout an Escape 150 a few months ago from Costco. We have used it a few times. Now it is not charging even though I have had it plugged into the solar panel on sunny days for a week. What is the problem and what is the remedy?1 answer

There could be a couple of things wrong going on with it. If you could please email us at support@goalzero.com or phone us at 888-794-6250 to better help you.Q:
I used my Escape 150 twice to power a CPAP machine. Worked fine. Purchased two solar panels to charge the battery when I am in the outdoors. I placed the battery in temporary storage for a couple of months this winter. Brought it out a few weeks ago, charged it up fully then plugged in an electrical item. No charge or electrical output from the battery to the electrical item! I checked the blade fuses and replaced one. Tried the whole process again. No success. I called the customer support line twice, busy signal............infinitum. I sent an e-mail to customer support, no reply as of this note. Can anyone help me?1 answer

Sorry for the delays, i hope you have been able to get into contact with us. The battery should be recharged once a month to ensure the battery does not get too low a charge and die. Please be patience with us. If it is still under the warranty we may be able to get you a replacement battery.Q:
Can I leave the Escape 150 plugged in all the time? I did this for about a year and when I tried to use it (showing a full battery) it only held a partial charge. It ran out MUCH faster than the first time I used it. The instructions say I can leave it plugged in...?1 answer
A:
You should be able to yes, however we do recommend using the unit once a month if possible. Please contact our Solution Center for warranty information or questions. You can contact us via email at support@goalzero.com or by phone at 1.888.794.6250Q:
Can I charge a battery for the Escape 150, then remove it, and will it then keep its charge for a while and be usable when placed back into the Escape 150? I'm thinking of taking 2 batteries with me and installing the second battery after the 1st one has discharged.1 answer
A:
Yes you could. However we still suggest recharging them ever 1-3 months to maintained them properly and keep the fully charged. If they sit too long with not charge they will become damaged.Q:
I powered the Goal Zero Escape 150 three weeks ago, and now it is down to 20% battery reserve. Does the Escape 150 need a replacement battery?1 answer
A:
Sorry to hear about the issue you are having with that unit. You can try and reset the battery, often this will help every to recalibrate and run as it should. This will work 95% of the time. This issues is usually caused by improper maintenance while in a warehouse or storage.Q:

My wife purchased an Escape 150 Solar power storage system for me last summer. It worked fine, but I only used it three times and left a nearly full charge for when I put it away for the winter. When I got it out to charge it for an upcoming trip, I saw that somehow the power was depleted. I tried to charge it but the LCD "low battery" image merely flashed at me and there was no scrolling charge lines. The green indicator light did not come on even after hours of charging when I turned on the unit. What happened? What are my options besides forking over another almost $50 for a battery that may have just as much trouble? How does such a battery "die"? I read your FAQ about this issue, but it didn't really answer my question--just stated that the battery could die. It's annoying that I have had other rechargeable batteries, including lead-acid, NiCad, and Nickel-hydride, and they've been fine under identical storage conditions. Thanks for anyone's help here.1 answer
A:
Unfortunately there isn't another real solution for this issue. The battery is a lot like a car battery in the way that a car battery will die if you let is sit for a good amount of time without being used. The best we can offer is a 25% off discount on the replacement battery. If you wish to get the replacement cell, you may mention this comment to customer service, who will then give you the discount.Q:
Having purchased the GoalZero 150 product last summer and used only 4 times last year, we cannot get it to charge up for this weekend. Any thoughts? We so dispointed with this product.1 answer
A:
Yes, if you can contact customer service at 1-888-794-6250 or support@goalzero.com and they can walk you through some troubleshooting steps. Thanks!Q:
I intend to use goal zero 150 for a week out of the year to power my CPAP machine. Should the batteries be removed for storage for long periods of time? Will they leak? Will they degrade?1 answer
A:
The battery will discharge over time, and has a shelf life of a few months. We recommend simply recharging the Escape 150 once a month to keep the battery healthy, and from discharging.
Merchant response: Best way to store this battery is plugged into the wall. Then you never have to worry.
