I mounted two Boulder 30 Solar panels on my shed in the backyard and connected them together. I put a shelf inside the shed where I can charge the Extreme 350. The panels charge the battery in a day if there is decent sunshine and two days if cloudy. Recently we had several inches of snow and after one day the panels had charged a fully exhausted Extreme 350 to 80% from filtered light through the snow. We use the 350's and the smaller battery units as power sources for bedroom reading lamps, charging an electric razor as well as for iphones. It is our sippy cup approach to solar energy without an array.

This is a top-notch solar panel & built like a tank. To borrow a phrase from GMC Truck "We are professional Grade."
This panel made very short work of charging up a Sherpa 50, even at low sun angles here in Alaska.
Crazy easy to set up & use plus all connectors felt solid. I'm definately going to purchase 2 more of these to charge the bigger systems I plan on acquiring in the near future - Thanks Goal Zero

I bought this panel with the Escape 150 battery and a patch cable to plug in more PV panels. Easily runs my laptop, and charges with a full day of sunshine. Hope with addition of another 30 watt panel it will charge even faster! Would also like to add several of Goal Zero lights which would increase my power draw, but increase the usefulness of the system!

  Both the Boulder 30 and Extreme 350 package use 8.0 mm solar cables. Just use the cable that comes with the Boulder 30 and chain it to your existing panel.

  Up to 4 Boulder 30 panels can be chained to 1 Yeti 1250 power pack. The Yeti 1250 is the most powerful power pack at 1200 watts. Multiple Yeti 1250 can be chained together for more wattage.

  This panel works best with the 350 Power Pack. You will additionally need an adapter to make it work with the150 power pack. The manual says the 150 should be immediately connected to the panel once you have determined the correct positioning with the sun. Charging could take 24 hours during regular sunlight and 48 hours under dim light or cloudy conditions. The output from the panel should go to the adapter first.

  Our engineers are always working on designing new products. As of right now, the Boulder 30 is the largest panel we sell. We are hoping to have some large panels out in the near future, but for now we recommend using four Boulder 30 panels for powering your Yeti, as it charges your battery much quicker.

  Thanks for contacting Goal Zero! Two Boulder 30 panels is roughly 20-24 hours to charge the Yeti 1250 not 12-16 hours, this is for the Extreme 350. The Yeti 1250 can have a maximum of 8 Boulder 30 solar panels which will drastically reduce charge time.

I'm confused about the Output of the Solar panel. One side of the spec's page it says that it's a "12V charging port (8.0mm)" and next to it says "14-16V, 2.0A max (30W), not regulated" I'm confused as to whether the panel puts out 12v charging power or 14 to 16 unregulated power. If it's unregulated, can you recommend a good 12v regulator to use with so as not to overload other 12v devices.

  The Boulder 30 panel is not the right fit when it comes to trickle charging the external batteries. We recommend you also attach a charge controller to the system to make sure the batteries don't get overcharged or damaged. I used four boulder 30 solar panels to recharge a 350 Extreme.
Boulder 30 solar panel consist form solara panel and connection box. connection box has one input port and one output port. the condition of each port is indicated LED lamps.
output LED lamp of one boulder 30 solar paneel was not work even sunshaine. I opened the connection box and checked the output voltqage of the circuit and found 0V.
Therefore I cut the solar panel lead form the circuit. The output voltage of solar panel itself was 15V. This is normal condition.
Therefore I concluded that the electric circuit in connection box was broken.
I would like to exchage the circuit boad to noromal one by myself. Can I get a circuit bord in connection box?

On one of my Boulder 30 panels the green charging light never comes on. On the other 3 panels the green charging light comes on when I plug them in to my Yeti 1250. I have tried different combinations chaning them and using individually and only on the one panel does the green charging light not come on. The blue lights light up on all of them. Is the panel defective?
