The Estrella 3 is an ultra-portable 3 Watt LED light and every outdoor enthusiast's best friend. With its low power draw, you can keep the trail, campsite or tent lit for hours at a time.

Excellent lamp: great design, metal body, very rugged and lightweight still. Lots of clear white light, I really love it. Moreover, you can chain those lamps very easily as they have both a male and a female connector, which is great for base camp installations.

Comments about Estrella 3W Light:

I own two of these and they are enough to light up a shelter when camping with the scouts. Would like to see a 5W or 6W version for just a tab more light, but nicer than blinding yourself with a propane lantern (and quieter too) or the awkward lighting from a lantern hung up from the rafters.

I purchased this light system recently after the Solar Kit and was a little skeptical but I must say it is a amazing light and also only being 3 watts it's output of light was like turning on a house lamp. I haven't used it outdoors but found it came in handy when I experienced a blackout in my neighborhood. I was able to daisy chain several lights throughout my house which allow me to do housework for example cooking , taking a shower and etc without having to use a flash light to get around. My neighbors thought I had a back up generator which made me laugh. My house seem lit as though I didn't lose electricity my neighbor said Lol. The Estrella has a great feature of a wired mesh cord that allowed me to mount it just about anywhere and it stays in place which is great. The light is great in weight which is a plus when backpacking.The best feature of all is having the ability to chain multiple lights together this comes in handy when establishing a camp with multiple tents.

  Unfortunately no. The Estrella will not. Check out the Luna if you are looking for more light out of the Guide 10. You can also look into our larger units like the Sherpa 50

  It will not. If you are looking for lighting options for the Guide 10 you can check out the Luna light. If you nee more light and still want it to be light and portable i would suggest checking out the Sherpa 50.

  It will not work with the Guide 10 or Guide 10 plus. you will be able to use these lights with are Sherpa, Escape, Extreme, and Yeti models.

  No, unfortunately, it was not designed to run off a battery pack of that size. You will want to check out the Escape 150 or higher.

  You can expect it to run for 30-40 hours. Yes, if you had two it would cut that times in half.

  You do split the time in half to run 2, that's correct. A sherpa 120 will last several nights with 2 lamps, I never got to the end of a pack before charging it again...

  From the information I could get about Foot-Candles and Lumens is that 1 Foot-candle equals 1 Lumen Squared. So if i am thinking about this correctly 160 lumens is about 12 foot-candles.

  The Estrella light has more lumens and produces a brighter light. The structure of this light is also different. It has a flexible neck designed for adjustment where the Light-a-Life does not include these features. The Estrella light is designed more as a desk light/reading light, where the Light-a-Life is designed as a hanging light.

  You cannot, different connectors. You can use it with the larger battery packs (Escape 150 etc.) What works great with the battery packs is the Luna LED light - I bought 6 of these for friends and family since they work with any USB port and provide a nice amount of personal light.
