Uses are too numerous to try to mention. My unit was a Christmas gift. Am pleased enough that I purchased a like unit for the giver. delivery was prompt, and recipient is as pleased as myself.

I own numerous LED flashlights and a couple of LED spotlights. When I picked up your little LED spotlight and switched it on, I was immediately impressed with the perfectly focused beam (as I shined it on the fairly high ceiling of the building)! I have great appreciation for the attention to detail involved with taking the time to ensure the emitter is positioned at the perfect focal point of the parabolic reflector! I hope the manufacturer will consider possibly making a larger more powerful version of the spotlight-like say a 10 watt version. It's a great product! I will use the spotlight around the house and will take it with me when I go camping and on daily trips.

Just got this today, 9-13-2012. I bought a 5 million candle power spotlight , from a store, 3weeks ago and it would not hold a charge, for more than 10 minutes. I returned it, and went to a different store. I looked a flashlights for almost 2 hours, looking at lumens, burn time, watts, meters, ect..... I saw this spot, last one on the shelf, and bought it. It's charging now, but even out of the pack, it was impressive. Can't wait to take out tonight on a full charge.
Will update in a few weeks , with a field test review.

Fantastic emergency light. Holds a charge for 6 months. Extremely reliable. Outshines anything I've ever owned. Very lightweight. Durable. I can't say anything negative about this spotlight. Makes a GREAT gift. It's always ready to shine when you need it.

Will the light over change and be damaged if it is not unplugged immediately after charging for a few hours?

  Thanks for contacting Goal Zero! You are completely fine to leave light plugged in for long periods of time it will not overcharge or damage the battery because everything does get regulated into the battery.

  They light cannot overcharge if left plugged in. It will stop charging when fully charged.

I notice the back panel comes off. Is this to store the power cords? Will it hurt the circuit panel near the front if I store one of the power cords in it?

  It is water Resistant. If it were to get when it would not damage it instantly. If it were to get wet let it dry first the continue usage.
