Charging

There are 3 ways to charge your Goal Zero Yeti 1250:

The Sun
The Goal Zero Yeti 1250 can be charged by connecting a compatible solar panel. One Nomad 100 will charge the Yeti 1250 in 12-48 hours.

Wall
The Goal Zero Yeti 1250 can be recharged from a regular wall outlet in about 18 hours. You can charge your Yeti with solar panels, and a wall charger at the same time.

Car
Although not the most ideal recharge time, the Goal Zero Yeti 1250 can also be charged by plugging into your car 12V adapter in about 44 hours. You will need to purchase an 8.0mm to 12V Charger.

How the Goal Zero Yeti 1250 Works
* Full-size refrigerator runtimes from the Yeti 1250 are dependent on several factors, including the year, make and model of your refrigerator, as well as its volume, fullness and usage. We actively test a variety of refrigerators to determine an average runtime. For the longest runtimes and to optimize performance, we suggest limiting the opening and closing of refrigerator doors when powering from the Yeti 1250.

Powering

THE GOAL ZERO YETI 1250 POWERS YOUR DEVICE IN 3 WAYS:

USB
Three 2.1A USB Outlets. The USB port best charges all your large sized or multiple USB powered devices.

12V
The 12V best charges all your 12V powered devices.

AC Inverter
Plug in your device just as you would the wall. There are three AC Outlets (pure-sine wave)

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO CHARGE YOUR DEVICE FROM GOAL ZERO POWER PACKS?

It takes the same amount of time to charge your device from a Goal Zero power pack as it does from the wall.

WHAT CAN THE NOMAD 100 SOLAR PANEL CHARGE?

The solar panel does not hold a charge it produces power when it is exposed to sunlight. You can store the power it produces in a portable power pack. The Nomad 20 can be used to power any Goal Zero Sherpa or Yeti.

WHAT GOAL ZERO PRODUCTS WORK BEST WITH THE NOMAD 100?

The Nomad 100 can be used to power any Goal Zero Yeti or Sherpa.

DOES THE NOMAD 100 GIVE A FULL 100 WATTS?

It delivers up to 100 Watts of power, but the angle of the panels and the cloud coverage can impact its performance. Avoid the shade. It will not work indoors.

ANY ADDITIONAL CABLES NEEDED TO CONNECT THE NOMAD 100 TO GOAL ZERO PORTABLE POWER STATIONS?

No additional cables are required; simply use the built-in 8mm blue-ringed connector.

Optional cables include an 8mm Extension Cables provide greater distance between your solar panels and power stations. For chaining multiple Nomad 100 Solar Panels together, purchase an 8mm to APP Combiner Cable.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Q: Does the Nomad 100 Solar Panel hold a charge?
  • A: No, the panel produces power only when exposed to sunlight. To generate the most power, angle the panel toward the sun. This improves your ability to collect power from the sun. Clouds and windows affect collection efficiency. If you would like to store power, combine the Nomad 100 with a Goal Zero power pack.
  • Q: Is the Nomad 100 Solar Panel waterproof?
  • A: It is very weather-resistant and will not be harmed if exposed to rain or snow.
  • Q: Can I chain multiple solar panels together?
  • A: Yes, chaining additional panels is a great way to reduce solar recharge times. Do not chain solar panels in series, as this can result in dangerously high voltages. Always chain solar panels in parallel, for help with safe chaining, call our customer solutions team at 888-794-6250.
  • Q: How do I chain multiple Nomad 100 Solar Panels together?
  • A: The safest and easiest way to chain Nomad 100 Solar Panels is by using an 8mm to APP Combiner Cable. This plug-and-play method ensures you safely chain solar panels for recharging Goal Zero Portable Power Stations.

NOTE: We do NOT recommend plugging CHAINED Nomad 100 Solar Panels into the Goal Zero Yeti 150, Goal Zero Yeti 400 or Sherpa Power Packs.
