SHARE THE SUN: PHILIPPINES

November 19, 2013

Power, shelter, water and food. These make up the four essential needs for human life. Both Goal Zero and our sister company Barebones were created to provide a framework for these essentials.

On November 7 Typhoon Haiyan made landfall in the Philippines, and in an instant, those four basic needs were washed away. We saw the immediate need to help first reponders, and decided to collaborate on a Share the Sun project. We've already sent over $40,000 in solar panels, power, lights, and Barebones shelters with our partners Team Rubicon and Charity Vision to aid first responders and help provide immediate relief, but we want to do more and we need your help.

OUR LONG TERM MISSION

We want to do more than provide immediate support to the teams on the ground; we want to empower the communities and be a partner while they rebuild their lives and communities.

Anything you buy on GOALZERO.COM or BAREBONESLIVING.COM, today through December 2, 2013, will be matched dollar-for-dollar in solar panels, power, lights and Barebones shelters. Our goal is to raise $300,000 to provide over 100 sustainable powered structures in the affected areas. Last year we were able to light thousands of homes and empower those affected by Hurricane Sandy with your help. Let's do it again for the Philippines.
