Industrial Designer

Put your ideas and experience to work as a Goal Zero Industrial Designer. Part Time position at 5-10 hours per week.

General Summary of Position:
Help bring successful products to market using Industrial Design skills. This person should share in the Goal Zero culture of empowerment and championing of projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work with Industrial Design, Electrical Engineering, as well as sales and marketing to create functional, durable, and practical designs that will be desirable in the market.
• Use sketching and styling skills to design useful and desirable products.
• Use creativity when necessary to innovate solutions that may not have been done before.
• Work on both brand new concepts as well as modifications of current products where necessary.
• Reports to the VP of Product Development.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 8 plus years of Industrial Design experience creating consumer products.
• History of success
• Excellent sketching and ideation skills
• Strong 3D CAD modeling skills in SolidWorks
• Desire to grow oneself and GoalZero and desire to innovate

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 8 + years experience working as an Industrial Designer.
• Industrial Design Degree
