Thanks for getting back to me. I managed to get through to your Canadian company today and purchased 2 more Guide 10's, 3 lanterns, which I was assured would charge from those, as well as 3 medusa cables that we hope will allow the phones to charge from USB input on the panel. Will let you know how it all works out.

That is awesome!
The Guide 10 battery pack will power the Firefly USB light and Luna Light. Both of which are like reading lamps. Might be perfect!
Unfortunately that Battery Pack will only charge USB devices. If the phones don't have a USB charger it will not work. If the phones only have wall plugs you'll need to use a larger battery pack and solar panel.
Give us a call and we can talk more about this! 888-794-6250 x7055

I'm wanting to take solar panels to a couple of families in Africa this summer and am wondering about my best options. I would like them to be able to charge their phones and run a light for the children to be able to do homework. I have purchase a Guide 10 already, but am un-knowlegable about all this I'm not sure it's what I should take. Will the Firefly work with the Guide 10? How can they charge a phone that only has a wall plug, is there an adapter that can be used? Also will these products work for African phones etc?

There is no option for bare wire connectivity.
The Solar can be adapted with off the shelf Anderson power pole connectors. We also have the MC4-AP or MC4-8mm connectors. Hope that makes sense! If not, drop us a line 888-794-62520
